Asherons Call: New Fiction on Asheron's Lore

Lao Zun-Pei of Asheron's Lore has started some great new original fiction based upon characters in the game.

The first, Of and Concering Isparians, is an accounting of Asheron's view of Isparians:

[i]When I had sent my people away, leaving myself alone to defend my... our... home against the Olthoi, I was not expecting my portal sundering to draw others. That is an unfortunate side effect, one I both regret with all my heart and cherish with the fondest of memories. I have lived countless years. I have been a teacher and a student. Adventurer and scientist. I have traveled to distant realms and defended my people from their own calamities. Never in my life had I met a creature like the Isparians. Nor was I able to anticipate the way they shaped my world, and my actions.

The second, A Path to the End Part 1: Prelude of Holtburg, is the first chapter in the life of Borlean, future King.

Borelean stood overlooking the lands before him from his Keep's grand bay. He recalled briefly how he had lived as a child. Separated from his people, taught the ways of wizardry and warrior. It was times like this that he had regretted not being able to have had a normal childhood. As normal as the life on Dereth could be anyway.

Both are very well written and worth the read. Borlean's adventures look to become a fascinating addition in origial fiction.
