Asherons Call: More Q & A

Question: Exodus_The_Mage - If the player has level up and used up the skill credit (eg, training a new skill), and get roll back in level after deducting 671 xp on patch day, will he get another skill point after he level up again?
Answer: srand - The 671 experience comes out of the *skill* experience, not your total experience. You may lose a *skill* level -- if, for instance, you just used available character points to buy a point of sword, you will now be 671 xp under that point, and so you'll need to spend 671 more xo to get it back -- but you will not lose a character level.

Question: Car-sasm - Its about Tesserae's and Dark Rain scroll after patch. Say somebody that already got it to max, then used 5 tess's and scroll of dark rain, say on magic d. It would raise it an extra 8 above max, now after the patch are they going to chop that off of characters that already have it, or just stop it from overall happening again?
Answer: srand - The excess points -- 8, in your example -- are lost. The 'use count', for tessera does not get reduced. If you had already used all 5 tessera, then you cannot use any more.

Question: tyn - Spec Skills and the next patch. Concerns about raising a skill just into the next skill level right before the patch ultimately costing more than 671 xp to recover from.
Answer: srand - Your worry is misplaced. We store the total xp in your skill, not how much you have towards the next skill level. But it was a good thought.

Question: Tarkhan - Why is Saelgauloi (BP from killing Gaerlan) no drop and will it stay this way ?
Answer: srand - The breastplate was meant to be droppable (just like the shield). It will become droppable with the next update, I think.

Question: Doktor_Megatrip - Starter Quest needs updating..
Answer: srand - Yup. The Training Academy needs to have its story updated now, and this is indeed on our list of things to do.

Question: MT_Goru - Srand, regarding crafting's "hacky" bits, was another bit you removed related to dyeing failures?
Answer: srand - That wasn't one of the hacky bits, but it is a bug and it has been fixed. (I think for October, although it may not have made it in in time, in which case for November.)

Question: Archer's Stop, multiple posters - having concerns about the Hollow bow burden.
Answer: srand - I think you'll be pleased with the burden on the weapons. It never occured to me to look at the burden of the ammo, however, so you may not be as pleased there.

Question: -Vlaid- - I seriously think that there is a bug here... Negative AL on my dyed clothing ?
Answer: srand - Okay, I looked into this. When I added tinkering, I ripped out a lot of hacky code in the craft system and replaced it with good code. One of the hacky bits I ripped out was the bit that keeps AL from going negative. Except it looks like I forgot to replace it.

Question: lechie - Please NO "no drop" imbuing. My concern is with the possibility that with the next patch the imbue/tinker property "no drop" might be available to players.
Answer: srand - Ivory isn't going to be a no-drop im
