All though the rest of the song there is representations towards Dagger and Zidane. I could spent 2 hours picking them all out, but that would be boring and pointless so, I shall pick one or two out. So:
In your dearest memories,
do you remember loving me?
was it fate that brought us closer,
And now leavers me behind?
This represents the fact of how close the two got, and then how fast they were separated, and like the lady she is, Dagger had to find out if He felt the same way about her.
So, there we have 3 representations towards the story, and they all slot in nicely. As I think that all song lyrics mean something, no mater what they may be, this strengths my opinion as if the story was different, so could the song have been. However, when you think about it, All of Noubo's songs represent the story they fit into perfectly:
Real Emotion
1000 Words
Melodies of Life
FFVIII Ending
And more...
Now the music! Like I said earlier, it has a harmonic beginning (to match the use of the word harmony in the music I suppose) with Violins and other instruments. Then a piano background tune comes into play and the same 2 or 3 chords work well together for the most part of the song. About ¼ of the way though the song, Guitars come into play, or one guitar which is slightly plucked. But you didn't expect Noubo to not have a full orchestra playing in the song did you? No way! He was just building up till the big guns could make it.
About 2 minutes into the song, about five violins take place, and drums add in with it. Then, every so often, you can hear a kind of 'crazy horses' from the Osmond's sound which is that the begging for a slight second. This lasts about 1 minute as at 3 minutes though the song it all mellows down back into the soft music you could hear before although it now has a constant drum to it.
If you asked me, I think Noubo works in minutes, because at minute 4 of the song, it once again changes into the pumping strong melody. Once again the 5, maybe 6 now violins come into play with the drum, guitar and a slight piano still. When you are listening to it, you may not think the guitars have no affect, but take them out and the whole part of the song is [blank].
In overall, the song has mostly good elements which are cleverly thought of. So here are is results:
Lyrics: 8.5/10 They do go with the song, but there is still, just something missing.
Music: 8.5/10 Its okay, a little to harmonic and can get a little annoying.
Vocal: 7/10 Seemed to high and as if an old lady sung it. Not a teenage princess
Length: 7/10 This was a hard one it think. 5 minutes is a long time but it never got to dull you would hate it. Maybe a little tad shorter.
Overall: 7.5/10 Yes, it was okay and I think it's a good song. Bravo Noubo
Good Job Noubo, keep up the good work on the rest of the Final Fantasy series. Just one more question to all you people out there:
What do you think of the song?
