This is a little older, about two weeks old, but I just noticed it now. They discuss lots we already know, but it's an interesting interview nonetheless.
Who is the man behind the world of Lineage, who came up with its history, or is it a work of many writers?
The world-view of the online game Lineage is modeled after the design from the book 'Lineage', written by the famous cartoon writer Sin Il-suk. Some main characters and names of places are the same as those in the book. From Episode 1, 'Talking Island' through Episode 12, 'Aden' (released periodically over the past few years), the storylines are similar to those in the cartoon. However, a second grouping of episodes, starting with 'Light and Shadow', has been updated in a new format.
The background of Lineage II is based on the era 150 years prior to the world of Lineage. Lineage II shares the same land mass with Lineage, but in Lineage II we discover things like how the kingdom of Aden came to be and why Dark Elves moved to the background, in relation to the other races.
