Freeworld: New Bits and pieces of Freeworld's story...

After a nice conversation on msn with Draconus, he showed off some concept art and such... It's looking very nice indeed. Without further delays, here are 2 pictures (also seen on www.freeworldonline.com).

As you can see the new 2 pictures feature high quality player models and weapon models. The weapon is called a "U-launcher" and Drac also said that that is where "pod houses" come in.

But don't go thinking Tech weapons will be the strongest of all weapons, remember magic? Magic will probably be alot more powerfull, with practice...

A small interview with Draconus:
Sucky Ducky: What will the Void be like?
Draconus: Well.....for now the player only see one area of the void...in the end there will be portals that have been open all over the world of Seregor. These Portals can only be opened by finishing quests. The void is a Alternate Plane as is not on the same time line as Seregor.

Sucky Ducky: What's the big difference between Tech and Magic?
Draconus: Ok... Well, Tech items will use different skills and will bring spell like effect to Races that may not be able to get Magic Stats to get some of the higher lvl spells. Magic will be far superior to tech items, BUT, for example lets say I'm playing a Triderian and I can get some of the high LvL nuke spells. Then things like the Rocket Pod become a close solution.

Sucky Ducky: Will we see guns and Tech vehicles in Seregor (freeworld)?
Draconus: No... The weapons from the Void will not be anything like you see in the real world. There will also not be many of them. The main Focus of the game will be 98% Fantasy and but a few tech items crossing over fit the story line. You will not be seeing the world of Seregor over run with hundreds of Tech Weapons. Only a dozen or so max. There is no may we will ever add spaceships or modern day vehicles to the game. That is going a little to far.
