This message was just posted over on the AC Community message boards by Ken Karl.
Beginning sometime in the month of November (we will give a one week notice) the use of Combat Macros in AC1 will become a violation of the CoC. First offense will be a one day ban, second offense will be a permanent ban. We will also have a Hall of Shame which will list the Character Names of all players banned due to this. We will not post them immediately to make sure if its a false-positive, they are not wrongly accused. ONLY the character name will appear.
The language of the CoC will change as such:
The following are a violation of the AC Code of Conduct:
[li]Allowing your character to gain experience points or non-player crafted items without being at the keyboard, ready to respond to an Administrator on demand (this activity is commonly called a "Combat Macro").
[li]Repeated non-confirmed reports that are deemed intentional may be grounds for discipline.Important to note, that if you start submitting a bunch of false claim, you too stand a chance of being banned.
Additionally, do not expect admins to reply to you once you submit a call for macro. Also, we most likely will not be able to get to every macro call that comes in. Our first priority will remain to Abuse calls, Macro calls will come after more urgent calls are taken.
Look for more clarification on the zone in the coming weeks.
It seems that Ken's found a way to fully enforce this rule and will start doing it with the next patch.
