IGN.com released 10 new gameplay movies! The quality ain't that overwhelming, but the sound is exellent and gameplay movies has been lacking for some time now, and this rare treat, is something that we can enjoy!
Fighting the Dwarves in the Barrens!
This small game movie features a Horde party fighting what look's like Bael Modan dwarves, which lies in the southern Barrens district, in a small Keep with a Quarry. We see the Orc Warrior using a 2 Handed Axe to cleave his enemies, while his party of 4 (Orc Warlock, Troll Shaman, Orcish Warlock and of course the Orc Warrior himself!) wrecks havoc on the quarry. The Troll Shaman uses Lightning Shield to do some extra damage versus the Dwarf, while the Undead Warlock uses the Succubus to tank for him. The Orcish Warlock quickly nukes the pair of Dwarves with repeating Shadowbolts. Lot's of action in this one!
Dwarven Foremen and Excavators!
Here we see the Horde Party fighting the Dwarven Foremen and Excavators, which are working in the Quarry. The Undead Warlock pulls a dwarf with a Shadowbolt while the Shaman quickly follows up with a Lightning Bolt, the Dwarf Foreman respons by throwing a Torch at the Warlock which causes impact damage and damage over time! The Warrior charges and engages dwarf, the double Warlock pair nukes with Shadowbolt and send their duo Succubus at the Dwarf's, the dwarf doesn't prove much of a challenge and the battle is quickly won.
Angry Lizzards!
Here we see a Highlevel Warrior charging a Thunderlizzard, and using Rend, Thunderclap, and then being attacked by a Thunderhawk Cloudscraper, which the party quickly finishes up without any large problems.(Which consist of the Warrior + an Undead Warlock, which uses Life Drain, a curse and his own private pet: The Sexy Succubus!) The Warlock is over level 20 since he can summon a Succubus, which requires level 20.
Running into the Undercity
Here we see the same Orcish Warrior entering Undercity, the Undead Capitol, which lies in the Ruins of Lordaeron. On the way you see both the Throne Room, which the Human King's used to rule before getting driven from their homelands, and you see the Dreadful Abominations standing guard over the area, meanwhile, he uses the Elvator to arrive in the Undercity tradequarter. You also get a quick glimpse of the Shaman in wolf form. Nice little tour of Undercity although the real thing offers much more than just this little treat!
Assault on Pyrewood
The Orcish Warrior charges in togther with his UD Warlock Troll Shaman party, into the village of Pyrewood which is plagued by an old curse that turned it's villages into horrible monsters during the night. The place is dominated by Elite mobs (Which means they do extra damage, and have a whole lot more health, which makes them a dangerous target). The Orc rushes inside the wooden gate and quickly decides to attack a sentry or Guard of some sort. The Shaman throws his damage reducing totem, and engages in melee, and the warlock fires off several shadowbolts, they quickly finish him off with a curse of weakness plus rend, and a life drain.
Scorpions can be tough
The party is back in The Barrens and this time the quest goes for Silithid, scorpion like insects, which are quite tough of their size. The Silithid quickly summons small insects to aid the Silithid in battle against the invading party, meanwhile the Warlock does it best to nuke the Silithid Scorpion, and the Shaman throws a few Lightning bolts off as well. The swarm is small insects which do considerable small damage, and does have little hp, but however tend to swarm their prey with often impressive numbers, nonetheless the Warrior finishes the battle by using Thunderclap, SMACK and the swarm is nothing but deadmeat!
Trouble in Pyrewood
The Horde Party(still consisting of a Orc Warrior, Undead warlock, Troll Shaman) is back in the dangerous Pyrewood Village and pull's 3 elite mobs at the same time... Trouble!
The Warlock quickly uses a potion of some sort perhaps health potion, while the Orc Warrior grabs an guard off the fragile Warlock the Shaman try his best to get yet another guard off the Undead caster. Meanwhile the UD Warlock uses Drain Life to keep himself alive!
They continue to battle until one of the guard's get low on health and tries to flee in vain, suddenly another patrolling member of the Pyrewood Village enter's the battle and the odd's seem very grim. They almost finish off another Pyrewood guard, while 2 more patrols comes along the road, it is highly possible they might need to flee the battle, since they are getting beaten in shear numbers. The movie ends too fast and leaves the beholder with a desire for more.
A dance in Crossroads
Here we see the Orc do his race specfic dance, quite amusine, but the Undead racial dance is still awesome :)!
Shocking lizards
The Horde party once again, enters to rage the barren's in search of Thunderlizzards, the Warrior charges the enormous reptile beast, and the Warlock assists in taking down the Thunderlizzard with ease. The UD Warlock & Orc Warrior seemed to be far to high level, and had no problems fighting such a low level beast.
Pummeling the pumpkin patch
The party of 3 enters Silverpine, Brackwell Pumpkin Patch, which is a lower level area, and has a few quest's, including getting ingredients for making a potion that would wounded an Undead Guard, and escorting another guard to the main house, the female Undead Guard also offers a quest to kill the Ravenclaw leader of the Scourge, in the farm area. The farm is mostly occupied by Ravenclaw Slaves, which hounds the Undead guard, since the Ravenclaw are the Scourge minions and the master himself Thule Ravenclaw, which you at later levels get to kill. The party just seems to be wandering around fighting the lesser slaves and having no problems at all, while ripping them to pieces.
Thank's for the Heads Up Alexander!
Enjoy!
