Download the Latest Version of Stoic!

What this plugin does:

Provides special one-touch commands for healkits and casting life vulnerabilities and war bolt, arc, streak, and ring spells.

Auto-targets with more sense than the AC client, and it works for mages too!

Keeps track of monster weaknesses and can learn new ones so you always use the appropriate damage type for your spells.

Allows easy mapping of your controls to your multimedia gamepad or joystick.

... and much more!

Updates on May 21, 2004:

Made enormous improvements to smart auto-target which will be particularly obvious in dungeons. After several rounds of testing, I've settled upon a heading penalty that should work well in any environment.

Added smartcast actions/hotkeys for the following spells:

    [li]Magic Yield
    [li]Fester
    [li]War wall spells
    [li]War blast spells
    [li]War volley spells
    [li]Brittlemail
Revamped the vuln HUD to make it more customizable. The Small Icons option is turned on/off per computer, while the effect detections are set per character.

There is now an option to display in small icons. Because of the limited text space available underneath 16x16 icons, the timer will show only the minutes left (rounded to the nearest minute) rather than the minutes:seconds format of the large icon mode.

You can now choose which debuff effects to watch for on your vuln HUD. In addition to the previous life debuffs and defense debuff detector, you can optionally choose from:

    [li]Fester
    [li]Exhaustion
    [li]Mana Depletion
    [li]Magic school debuffs
    [li]Weapon skill debuffs
    [li]Healing skill debuffs
    [li]Run debuff (Leaden Feet)
    [li]Weakness
    [li]Frailty
    [li]Clumsiness
    [li]Slowness
    [li]Bafflement
    [li]Feeblemind
Per-character settings have changed storage mechanisms. This includes gamepad key settings and supply HUD settings. (Vuln HUD settings use this new mechanism as well, but since they are new in this build, they don't need to be migrated.) In previous builds, gamepad maps were stored using a different Stoic Folder*.MAP file for each of your characters, and supply HUDs were stored in a similar *.HUD file. When you first log in a character with this build that you have used with previous builds, you will get a message that your settings are being migrated to stoic.hive, which is a file in your Stoic installation folder. Character-specific settings are now stored centrally in this file.

After the migration, your character's .MAP and .HUD files will automatically be deleted.
