Freeworld: Wood cutting Vs Mining

So you wanna be a wood cutter or a miner yet you havent decided yet.

Well lets draw up a list of pro's and con's for mining and wood cutting.

Pro's for mining

Best place to mine is the beer cave.
Lots of rocks really close to each other, means fast mining.
Ore can be used to repair items.
You can raise you skill % faster
You can get beer in the beer cave.

Pro's for wood cutting

Best place to chop wood is the north orc forest.
Lots of different types of trees, so u can carry more wood then trees
Npc's are closer when your chopping wood.
More experience then mining
Most wood is more expensive then ore.
You can carry 200 of each type of wood on average you cut down 4 types of wood
Keeps your attention for longer.

Con's for mining

You can only hold 200 ore
No npcs are near
You get less experience for mining then you do for wood cutting
Ore is Cheap, so its not worth much when selling it.
Only a few places to mine, so if theres more than one person mining it can get busy.
Mining gets boring fast.

Con's for wood cutting

High level mobs can interupt you.
Takes longer to raise your skill %
Trees are further apart

So there you have it, wood cutting is better, than mining if you want more money, and something interesting to do. Where as mining is better experience, even thou trees give you more, mining is so close together, you crack rocks much faster then you chop trees. So if you wanna be rich cut trees, If you wanna be a high level mine rocks.
