Get a cup of tea or your preferred beverage because this one is a long one...but, it's quite good.
Ja'afar al-Saladin argues with clarity and knowledge that it's content that has raised the level of play in the games, no macros. Don't believe it? Pull up a chair and read "The Long, Slow Death Symptom of Over-Powering" and see if he doesn't make some very valid points.[blockquote]The point in the end is that what it takes to kill something long ago, is in some cases 1/20th of what people have at their disposal now in damage alone. The Olthoi Noble used to be a feared creature. Now they are laughable as people with one hour buffs warp in to the dungeon they have tied to with their second tie, run to the bottom ignoring whatever piddling Olthoi are trying to hit them with their +30 defense weapon in hand, kill the Noble in two swings... one if they get a critical hit on a weapon with a max damage of 45 and a 60% better chance to crit, loot it and run out while complaining to their friends at how junky the noble loot is. The level of items in the world now, compared to what they were in the past is ludicrous.[/blockquote]
