Asherons Call: An Encounter With The Lord Sovereign

Tired of the same old Gaerlan dungeon stories you keep hearing at the pub? Have you had enough of the Ball of Death and the Harbringer? Well, here is a breath of fresh air! Myn Darklighter sent us a short tale of his adventures in Nanto last weekend during the Golem Spawns...

Late Sunday afternoon (CST), in the town of Nanto, a Lord Sovereign Golem, level 775 spawned. (Myn thinks there may have been something in the name after Lord Sovereign, but in the heat of the moment did not have time to write the info down). Myn Darklighter had just dispatched two Forest Lord Golems, and thought the sudden appearance of this new creature (which was promptly charging Myn) was another Forest Lord attacking that Myn had missed seeing. Myn turned to do battle, and sent a flame bolt towards the charging creature. As soon as Myn could quickly scan the creature, and see the true nature of the beast, Myn did what any smart mage (level 18) would do when a level 775 Lord Sovereign Golem is charging him, he turned tail and RAN for his life. After running around several trees, and several of the outlying town buildings, Myn escaped with his life, actually never having been touched by the Golem.

Myn tried to meet up with another person in town, but about the time Myn got close to the other person, that person let loose a volley of arrows at the Golem (which was in line of sight of the person Myn was coming up to), and Myn had to run for his life again as the Lord Sovereign Golem promptly charged at us. After evading the Lord Sovereign Golem a second time, Myn and several other members of Dereth grouped together to discuss what they had all saw. Myn wanting to get another look at this new beast, and possibly wanting to get a picture, went looking for the Golem, as did several other members of Dereth. But alas, the Lord Sovereign Golem had left town as mysteriously as he appeared. What direction it left town, or it's destination is unknown to Myn.

So fellows of Dereth, be aware of a big bad nasty Golem with a bad disposition.
