World Of Warcraft: More beta "non-info" for you...

| 11 Nov 2002 13:52

Yep... "non-info." That means, nothing new about the beta here... but GFrazier does talk a bit about why Europe will probably not be a part of the beta (at least initially).

No details have been revealed about the beta. The reason betas in the past have been USA/Canada only are because the beta server is typically in west coast (which means lag to people outside that area), AND shipping costs are very high to outside USA. Also the goal of the beta is to have everyone on at once playing, if people are spread out among many time zones that doesn't happen. There were really low number online for Brood War for example.

BUT again, no details have been revealed about the beta so it's not been said just how the beta will run or what areas will be allowed to test. It's possible it might be totally different than previous betas.
