He was a being of epic proportions. The forces he controlled were said to be infinite. His coming heralded what many still see as the golden age of AC1. Bael'Zharon, the Slayer of Hope--one of the most popular figures ever in AC lore, and though he's scheduled to make his return in time to bring about AC2, many players are calling for an even sooner return.

And that leads to this week's Loremaster Question of the Week: Should Bael'Zharon return to AC1? Should Turbine go against AC2 lore, or at least dance around it a little, by bringing BZ (and this refers to the BZ, the former Ilservian Palacost, not Isin Dule, Aerbax, or some other figure merely using the title) a century or two early? And what would you think if they did bring him back? Would they finally be heeding the wishes of the AC1 playerbase? Would BZ 2.0 be just another in a long line of Dev-controlled player punching bags? Or would the return of the Hopeslayer be nothing more than a shallow, desperate attempt to exploit long-standing nostalgia?
