Dark Age Of Camelot: Last Night, and This Week’s Improvements

| 23 Jun 2004 17:06

Taken from here.

- Last night the patcher was so overloaded that even people who had the entire patch downloaded, in some cases, could not enter the game - and of course, players trying to get the patch were often disconnected (or experienced 201/301 errors). We're spreading the load across more patching machines now to allieviate this problem. You may now "hang" for a moment as you're switched from machine to machine, but you should now be able to download the patch, and enter the game.

- We know that server lag was a big concern last night. We found a problem, and resolved some server filter issues, as well as made some hardware adjustments. Tonight should show a big improvement.

- Horse routes were a top appeal last night. The horse routes were combining with some new pathing code with interesting results. We've fixed all the problem routes that we identified. If you experience problems with a horse tonight, please remember to include the start and end point of the route you're on, and the exact /loc of the point where you stalled out when you send your bug appeal. We appreciate the help!

- Towers and keeps have a problem where when the servers are taken down, neither will continue to upgrade towards their upgrade level target. We have a solution to this problem, but the adjustment will take a few days to make it to the live servers.

Thanks very much for your patience!
