Here we go:
Q: Quick reminder - how do I see who has the battlegroup or chat group?
A: Type /who BG or /who CG.
Q: How do I use (insert siege equipment here)? When is the best time to use the different kinds of siege equipment?
A: Please read the siege documentation carefully. We've included lots of information, including a small strategy chart at the bottom of the page. This chart tells you, for example, that a palintone is best used to destroy siege equipment attacking your keep or tower, but not as effective against players. A catapult or a pot of boiling oil is more useful against players.
One small error in the manual - the mini-siege is currently not active as a player crafted option. We will be making updates to the manual on Monday.
Q: Why did you make the realm point change (where the less of a challenge players are, the fewer realm points they will be worth)?
A: It has always been that you gained more points for killing higher level players, more powerful players. We've just adjusted the value of unchallenging easy fights downward. It's something we'd originally planned to do (since "gray ganking" is... insert vaguely rude word here), but the rate of realm point gain made it hard to implement a fair scale. With the new methods of finding fights, getting to fights, the new point bonus pools for participating in keep raids, and all the other concentrated action places, realm points are easier to get than ever before, and easier for more play styles as well. The point totals gained from honest play are downright staggering compared to before. Therefore, now was a good time to make this change. If you compare you point totals to before the launch of New Frontiers, you will still most likely see a huge difference even with this change.
Q: (Insert respec question here.)
A: I did not see any questions that could not be answered by the realm respec post here and my followup in my Grab Bag on the 18th. If my wording is unclear, please let me know and I will update those two articles immediately.
By the way, many of you who wrote with respec questions have just come back to Camelot and didn't see those posts when I put them up. Welcome back! Hope you're having fun!
Q: I put on my transport medallion, but the ceremony never started.
A: Just put on your necklace, and right click the pad. Whee!
Q: I tried to log in to New Frontiers, but I was told that I "didn't meet the requirements." What's up?
A: One of two things is probably the problem. First, if you got the patch from the patcher but did not get the installer from one of our our download partners, then you will get that message. Please choose one of the download sites, get the installer, and come on in.
If you did get the installer files, make sure you downloaded them into the proper directory. The directory that the files need to be in is the same directory that contains the icon you click on to log into the game. Most people create a shortcut from this directory to the desktop (or most often, the installer created the log in icon on the desktop for you).
If neither of those problems is yours, please contact technical support at support AT darkageofcamelot.com, or use the handy web form located here: http://support.darkageofcamelot.com/help/. We had some technical problems with email forms earlier in the week, but they have all been resolved.
Q: Help! I can't log in my favorite character, and I've tried hitting escape and logging back in already. What should I do?
A: You should log in an alternate character, and type /appeal My character, XXX, is stuck. Please fish him out! When you hit enter, a menu will pop up. You MUST choose the "stuck" option, not the "emergency" option. The stuck queue is the top priority of our CSR staff.
By the way, if you are not stuck, but just trying to cut in line, your appeal will be reassigned to the regular queue without you being contacted.
Q: I am getting the promised 8X experience in RVR (compared to pre-New Frontiers). However, my artifacts are not leveling faster.
A: The experience boost is just for your level, not the artifact level.
Q: I can't find Captain Rhodri in Snowdonia. Where is he?
A: We had to move him to the south part of the keep. Fear not, he is still in the keep and ready to assist you with your epic.

Help us to help you, and read these simple tips on submitting bug appeals:
- Each bug appeal that says "I have a bug" or "My stuff is broke" or simply "Bug" is one more appeal that has to be read, categorized, and closed before we can get to the real bug appeals. Please, please submit bug appeals with information - names, zones, /locs, etc. Every bug appeal is read by a human down in product quality (with one category of exceptions, see below). We can get to issues much faster with your help.
- Please do not use profanity in your bug appeals. It's not that we're fragile and delicate - it's that our profanity filter is deleting your appeals before a human ever sees them. Please don't allow a moment of frustration to result in the loss of your bug appeal and a delay in the solution.

People tend to think of gaming companies as faceless, evil monoliths rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of nerfs and such.
It's worse, actually.
I went into the office of someone I will call "Voldemort" so as not to make him look bad. This guy, surrounded by four other employees, was having a perfectly nice conversation about fixes and which programmers were coming in on Saturday morning. Voldemort technically should have been paying more attention to his computer, since he was part of a relic defense squad. He was brutally killed in a beautiful moment of senseless violence, but stuck around to watch his relic fall. Of course, the whole roomful of Mythic employees wants to see this as well.
We couldn't see too well from his corpse's vantage point outside the temple, but well enough to see that the invaders were standing on the relic trigger pad in a nice clump. A squad of defenders came up, but instead of rushing in for hand to hand combat, they set up a catapult. The defenders started smashing the clump on the trigger pad. Of course we could see the boulders flying in over the wall, and then BOOM! hitting the group with an explosion and a shudder.
And of course, the kibitzers in the room were all laughing and making the sound effects. There you have it, gang, I have seen the face of true evil and it sounds like a guy going "wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... BOOM!" Mind you, the guy making the noise was the one who'd just had his rear end handed to him by another player, so it's not like he was criticizing anyone else's leet skillz.
We're a little punchy around here, can you tell?
But this leads me to a relevant piece of advice. In order to make a relic begin descending, you need sixteen players inside the relic temple (four on Mordred) and ONE of those people needs to stand on the relic trigger pad. That one can step off the pad at some point, he just needs to stand there until the relic begins to move. You sixteen (or four on Mordred) need to stay in the temple... alive... until the relic gets picked up by the carrier, but you don't have to sit in a clump on the trigger pad getting pounded by ammunition. There is a LOVELY manual here at www.camelotherald.com/newfrontiers - check it out!

We'll be in tomorrow morning working on some stuff, so watch the Herald for updates. Thanks for all your patience and assistance this week as we adjust from the test platform to the live servers. We've had tons of feedback, and we are so glad you're having such fun. We hope that we can continue to improve the experience for everyone.

I had a LOT of questions this week, but many answers can be found in the documentation. I realize that in the past our documentation has been a little slim, but click on the realm war tab and give it a look. I don't claim it's perfect, but we're updating and adding like crazy, and thank you for your suggested changes.
Have a great weekend!
