World Of Warcraft: Sneak peak at the next patch and comments on a "sidekick" system.

Kat gave out a few details on the next patch, which is supposedly just around the corner, here's the post.

The next patch is just around the corner (it really is) and I wanted to give you all a quick glance at what's coming up:

- The level cap will be increased to 50.

- The Sunken Temple, a dungeon in Swamp of Sorrows, will be opened.

- Many of the quests in The Barrens will be reworked or polished.

- New death graphics will be implemented.

More sneak peeks to come. Enjoy these tidbits!

Kat also commented on a "sidekick" or apprentice system that would allow lower levels to group with higher levels easier.

The team is aware that this feature is available in some of the other games on the market. It is a great feature and has been discussed by the development team as a possible addition to World of Warcraft, an addition that due to its complexity would come after the game is released.

The team will continue to investigate ways to bridge the gap so that friends of different levels can group. We know how frustrating it can be to not be able to group with your friends due to level differences. An apprentice system might solve some of these problems but due to the fact that World of Warcraft is primarily quest driven, it may not be the best solution which is why the team needs time to figure out what type of system would work best in this setting.
