Star Wars Galaxies: Roleplaying Structure and PvPers: "Meaning", purpose, and goals

Community member [b]Bajeezus[/b] posted a very well thought out post to Holocron. Heres a peice of it:

So Holocron wants to give us the costumes, the props, and the stage that will let us play out the roles of Rebel and Imperial. Supposedly, we'll get up on that stage and start acting out our roles without (so far as they have announced) any real motivation and reason for doing so. If we were all Star Wars re-enactors, like the Civil War re-enactors, or great improvisational roleplayers with clear character goals motivations in mind, this would be all we would need to play out fantastic battles between Rebels and Imperials, we'd just do it.

To be honest, I didn't read this whole news article, because I have such a head-ache, got a sinus infection :(. Basically, what he is getting at, is his explanation and thoughts of Roleplaying, and PvP. Enjoy!
