Star Wars Galaxies: Combat Medic changes up on Test Center

A little background for those who may not be right on top of the Combat Medic PvP Issue; Currently, some Combat Medics can create a very powerful Area Effect poison that is usable at a power and range far above any other combat attack in the game. The poisons are very hard to cure, it happens at up to 96 meters which is beyond the capability of all other professions and is having a bad impact on the game.

We've been talking about the possibility that there would be a change coming for a couple of weeks and that time is now. We have some long term goals and some short term goals. For the long term, we will address Combat Medics as a profession and look at everything again, but for the short term, we have put together an interim solution:

1. We will be making the following changes on Test Center on Thursday, July 8th (today):

" Combat Medic: Added a minimum throw time to combat medic apply disease and apply poison
" Combat Medic: Corrected a bug that allowed combat medics to throw at twice the range listed on poisons and diseases

2. These changes will go to live servers on Tuesday morning, so for those of you who will be on Test Center, testing this weekend, we really want your input.

I encourage everyone who is passionate about this issue to get out there and test away and post your results here.

We can and will continue to address this situation as needed once it goes to live. Let us know how you feel about the changes, how they worked and how you think will improve or degrade the Live server PvP experience.
