Dan Cracchiolo, a Producer of the original film in the trilogy, "The Matrix," passed on at the age of 39, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident, on June 14th, in Hollywood Hills.
I was fortunate to have known Dan when he read my spec screenplay "Howl" at 20th Century Fox several years ago, I found him to be exceedingly bright, very friendy and eager to help. he was an advocate for new artists and highly creative.
He was a Co-Producer on Conspiracy Theory, Lethal Weapon 4, The Matrix, Assassins, and Swordfish. Was Joel Silver's assistant on Lethal Weapon 3 and Ri¢hie Ri¢h. He was also Executive Producer on Made Men, House on Haunted Hill, Romeo Must Die, and Thir13en Ghosts.
He was featured in Architectural Digest for restoring architect Pierre Koenigs 1960s "Case Study House 21" to original condition.
He started his career working for Ed Limato, one of the most powerful and successful agents in Hollywood.
