Asherons Call: Trophy Compendium Nears Completion!

Over the last 5 days I've put in about 18 hours on the Trophy Compendium (and boy are my fingers tired). Now, it's not 100% complete yet but it is close. We have just about every item that drops from a critter and a bunch of the "crafted" items like Crystal Fragments and Horn of Vigilance Pipes. Basically, for anything you pick up from a creature and wonder, "What the heck is this for?" you can go to the WCoD Trophy Compendium and find out! It's all there, with icon pics and stats and any "flavor text" on the item. If it's not there then you don't need it!

And LINKS! Holy Holtburg Cow do we have links! Every item that is used in a quest links to that quest (if the writeup is finished). Most items that are turned in for other items have links to either the new item or the quest involved. We have links forward to related items and backward back to the original item. And you want to talk about critters?!? Ok, let's talk about critters... every item that drops from a critter will have a list of the critters it drops from. This is the hardest part of updating the Compendium since it's hard to determine every creature that drops some of the items. Sure, Granite Golem Heart is easy but stuff like Motes, Gold Tumerok Insignias and Mnemosynes are a little tricky. (I won't even go into SIKs!) Every item that is given to someone for something has a link to that person in the Atlas. Some of the NPCs aren't in the Atlas yet but (as much as I hate the phrase) "that's not my department". However, items with obscure NPCs (ie. Lugian Items) will probably have a link to the quest in which that item is used so you can find out about it there.

Like I said, I have a little more work to do (and it will never really be complete) but I have a list of "needs" I'll be checking off and asking for submissions from. Look for an Official Announcment(TM) on that sometime this week. Cruise over and check it out and if you see anything out of place then drop me an e-mail at Quendor@warcry.com and tell me about it. Missing items, incorrect links, spelling mistakes or misaligned text... I want to hear about it!

I want to give a quick shout out to Seraquiel for letting me "borrow" the Creature Compendium to update the trophy/critter links. You have no idea how much work I saved you, heh! And also the Trophy Hunter site for it's invaluable assistance in figuring out some of the more obscure links.
