What epitomizes the gameplay of Asheron's Call? Fighting with your friends to the end of a quest dungeon and slaying the final enemy? Hunting on the landscape for trophy items and experience? Gathering at your allegiance mansion or in town?

Here's your chance to create your vision of the Asheron's Call experience. Take Asheron's Call, film it, edit, set it to music, and show us what you've got!

We're looking for a 1 - 2 minute video in MPEG or Windows Media format that best shows off the gameplay that makes Asheron's Call great. The winning video will be displayed at Turbine Nation on August 7 and put up for download on the official Asheron's Call website.

We'd like this video to be set to the "traditional" Asheron's Call video music -- "Excalibur". For the purposes of this contest, you can download a copy of the music here.

Rules and Guidelines:


    [li]Entries should be a 1-2 minute video set of Asheron's Call gameplay footage, set to the "Excalibur" music. This should be in the MPEG or Windows Media format at 640x480 resolution. ("Letterboxing" is acceptable.)
    [li]To enter, you will need to make your video available for download via the web or FTP. Send an email to contests@turbinegames.com with the location of your video and any other necessary instructions. (For example, if a specific codec is required in order to view it.) DO NOT EMAIL YOUR VIDEO TO TURBINE.
    [li]Submissions should include the participant's name, email address, and primary Asheron's Call play world and character name.
    [li]This contest is open to all Asheron's Call players.
    [li]This contest begins on July 7, 2004. Entries will be accepted until midnight EDT on Friday July 30.
    [li]Participants may submit one entry each.
    [li]The team reserves the right to tweak details of the winning video as necessary
    [li]The winning video will be announced and shown at Turbine Nation and then put up for download.
By entering this contest, you signify your acceptance of the official rules and agreement to grant to Turbine a royalty free, non-exclusive, perpetual worldwide license to reproduce, modify, prepare derivative works and otherwise use and publicly display your submission in any and all media for the purpose of incorporating into future products and advertising and promoting Turbine Web site and products without additional compensation. Turbine will have the right to assign, transfer or sublicense this license. All winning submissions may be posted on a publicly accessible Web site following the contest. Turbine disclaims any and all liability for any infringement of any entrant's rights in any submission caused by any third party. All entries submitted must be original, and must have been created and owned exclusively by the entrant submitting the creation. No responsibility is assumed by Turbine for lost, late, or misdirected entries, or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Turbine is not required to use any or all of the winning entries in a future Asheron's Call update or at Turbine Nation.
