Everquest 2: Character Creation Disks have shipped and Frogloks Locked!

Moon_the_bull over at vnboards was the first to post that he was in possession of the Character Creation bonus disk. Gamestop stores in various states are confirming stock of the bonus disks while EB Games are still awaiting shipment. The big news related to the bonus disks is the discovery that the Froglok race will not be available to players upon release, but instead will need to be "unlocked" by completion of a server-wide quest. Faarwolf confimed the information on the official boards.

Okay here's the lowdown:
SOE has only limited control over the shipping and distribution of products so it is entirely possible that some stores are putting out the Character Creation disk sooner than others. The disk is certainly finished and has been sent to the retailers, and you should see full distribution by the first week in August.
The Froglock will be available after a server-wide quest is completed. They will not be available as a player race on launch day as a result, although you will see Froglok NPC's in game.
