I've started going through the site top to bottom to familiarize myself with it. And here I stumbled upon the Tales Forum. We've got some pretty darn good writing going on here, and some of these folks are on their thirteenth installment.
It's time to turn the spotlight on these budding writers...and that's what I intend to do.
The most recent ongoing saga comes from Gendac Dyrshjarta. Here's just a snippet:
Dragus looked out the window of the tavern and others followed suit to the skald. Out side a light breeze was whipping the snow about and as the eyes fell on the sight Dragus spoke. The Chill and noise some north wind whirled and danced over the hill side singing a mournful wail. Gendac wondered sometimes if the sad cry of the wind was the voices of the fallen. He dismissed such fancy and walked up the hill in the ankle deep snow and snapping wind.
