Starter Kit
Will the EverQuest II Starter Kit be sold outside the US?
Yes. The Starter Kit is being distributed by certain retailers in the following countries:
Canada
UK
Germany
Australia
Austria
Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland)
If you live in one of the countries listed above, check with your local retailer to see if they will be distributing the Starter Kit.
Will the Starter Kit be available in France?
A very limited number of French EverQuest II preorder kits will be available in Micromania, Scores Games, Armageddon, and the Ubi Online Store. Those wishing to get their hands on the character creation portion of the game are strongly encouraged to preorder while supplies last.
Formats
In what formats will EverQuest II be released in Europe?
EverQuest II will be released in CD, DVD, and Limited Edition formats.
What is included in the Limited Edition?
At this time, we can confirm that the Limited Edition will include the in-game items featured in the U.S. Collector's Edition, including: paintings of EverQuest II scenery/screenshots, talking statues of Antonia and Lucan, and an exclusive baby dragon house pet, all for use in player housing. Full details on the Limited Edition European versions of EverQuest II will be announced in the coming weeks.
Servers
Who is hosting the British, French, and German servers?
SOE is hosting all servers in North America and Europe.
Where will the UK/FR/DE servers be physically located?
The European servers will be located in Amsterdam.
Who is providing customer support for those servers?
SOE is providing all customer service support for North America and Europe.
Can people with the U.S. version of the game play on European servers?
Currently there are no plans for players of the U.S. version to be able to connect to the European servers.
Can people with European versions of the game play on U.S. servers?
Currently there are no plans for players of the European versions to be able to connect to the U.S. servers.
Would Europeans need the U.S. client to do so?
Yes, it's planned that the U.S. version will connect to U.S. servers and the European versions will connect to European servers.
Can Europeans buy the U.S. version of EverQuest II?
There will probably be some retailers that will ship internationally at launch; however the localized European versions of the game and European servers are the best choice for optimal gameplay in Europe.
Will there be a server hosted in Australia at launch?
There are currently no plans to host a server in Australia.
