Good news? The Chinese Lineage II servers have moved into open beta phase as of August 26th afternoon at 2PM. There are only two open servers right now Ba Chi (Bartz) and Xi Er Fa Te (Sieghardt) of which are net congested almost constantly, reminiscent of NA open beta.
This is intentional to stress test the servers and see how well they will operate under these conditions. However the Chinese rollout has decided already that they will open 18 more servers on September 8th throughout China to accomodate all new players signing up and recommend players choose the highest ping server to begin their adventure.
New players can purchase a 2 CD game package which includes Aden map, sticker sheet, handbook, and one free week of gaming for 10 RMB (1.2USD). Furthermore the game is definitely opening in Chronical I phase. Lastly this will definitely not eliminate the adena farmers currently on the NA servers as previously thought.
Thanks for the info Kabo! Funny how they need to stress test the servers.. they could have just asked NC NA how it worked out :D
