When bidding on a plot, you have three options that
you may change at any time:
1) Bid cash up to the amount you currently have
2) Bid your plot token
3) Contribute your token on behalf of your GuildYou may do any of the above on as many plots as you wish.
The winner of the plot is determined in this order (a tie at any stage is determined randomly):
1) A token bidder who previously owned the plot
2) The highest valued individual token OR the highest total value of those contributed for a particular Guild
(In the case of a Guild victory, the actual owner of the plot is the one who had the highest individual token contributed)
3) The highest cash bid. If a bidder can not afford their bid at the time the auction ends, their bid is forfeit.Winning an auction will automatically remove all other bids on other plots by the winner. Winning an auction with a token bid will remove that token. When an auction is won by a guild's pooled bids, all involved tokens are removed, and any token bids on other plots by those characters are automatically retracted (cash bids are retained).
Keep in mind this is a blind auction. You will know how many cash, token, and guild pool bids there are, but not their values (except your own, in the case of a guild token pool). Bid as much as you think you need to win, but you will not receive a refund for excess.
In the case of an auction for a Master Guild Plot (the only plot for auction in a Guild Community), all the above rules apply normally, though you must be a member of a guild to make any type of bid. Once the Master Guild Plot is owned and the guild structure on it completed, the remaining Guild Plots can then be purchased immediately for a small transaction fee, currently expected to be 1 silver. At any given time, Guild Plots may only be purchased by members of the same guild as the owner of the Master Guild Plot. The Master Guild Plot may be sold to a member of another guild, though the previously stated rule applies on any future sales of the associated Guild Plots, meaning they can then only be purchased by members of the new guild. No guild plot will ever be forcibly sold (other than due to expired accounts, as with any plot).
Hope this clears up how the system works. Please post questions here, and I'll do my best to clarify further.
Auctioning will begin at least one week after newly consolodated servers are started. Expect to see the system released to Blight for testing prior to that.
