I brought this up internally, and the decision was made that rather than delay the recompense for Darktide, we would go forward with the single NPC plan. We understand that this may make it more challenging for some characters to acquire the free level, but on the other hand, Darktide has been asking for a reason to fight over towns for some time. This is a unique opportunity to give Darktide a little extra gameplay for a month.

If you don't want to fight in the town and you just want your XP award, here's the solution -- have a friend or allegiance-mate kill you. Then recover your corpse and go get the award while you're NPK. The award should wipe out your vitae, and you're good to go.

Not exactly the Land Control system we were hopeing for, but sounds like some sloppy fun!
