Some rather important news on the accmty.com boards:

From the land of Better Late than Never...

Hi everyone,

My name is John Petrick and I'm going to be helping Ken Karl out with AC1 monthly releases in a program manager-type of role. I'm really excited to be a part of this project and contributing to AC1. It's been a tremendous challenge to me to get up to speed (I had no idea how huge this game was!) and it's been a learning experience the whole way. It's been a lot of work but a lot of fun at the same time.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize that an announcement hadn't been made about this month's new content before we actually propped it (duh). I dropped the ball and apologize to anyone that was caught off guard. I'm still learning a lot about the process of doing monthly releases and appreciate your patience while I get my head *****ed on straight.

There's a lot of cool stuff going on all across the now-snowy landscape of Dereth this month, including:

" Who is the mysterious and elusive King Bobo? Why hasn't he made his presence known yet? What is the secret of the Tusker Paw? Is it true he will grant magnificent boons to those who prove themselves in combat?
" A cottage has mysteriously appeared on the second island of Alphus Lassel. What secrets does it hold?
" Large gift boxes are now appearing in a town near you! Do they hold unheard of treasure or do Nuhmudira's Students have a more ominous purpose in mind?
" The Bandit and Neydissa Castles hold many new secrets and treasures!
" Rumor has it that High Queen Elysa is rebuilding her home near Asheron's Island.
" Holtburg is now more user-friendly! Improvements have been made to Holtburg and the newbie starting experience! This area is now better-tailored for our new explorers to explore and gain experience!
" Arwic is back! After years of devastation, Arwic has returned to its former glory! No more pesky Shadow Spires!
" We made some new changes to Furniture and House Decorations, including adding several hookable items.
" Changes have been made to Allegiance Housing, Dirks, Multi-Strike Weapons, the treasure system and more!

For more details about this month's content and our upcoming plans for the months ahead, please be sure to check out the Dev Notes (http://microsoftgamesinsider.com/AC1/devnotes-12-02.htm) and this month's Letter to the Players (http://microsoftgamesinsider.com/AC1/Letter_12-02.htm)!

As always, we like to hear what you have to say about the new content, good or bad, so please post your thoughts here!

See you in Dereth and watch out for those Snowmen!

Happy holidays!

John Petrick
