Star Wars Galaxies: SWG BITS Technology

As part of this, we are upgrading the launchpad with a technology called BITS. The Star Wars Galaxies Launchpad optionally uses Microsoft's BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) to stage select game assets that will be required for gameplay in the future. Rather than wait for a potentially long download and patch, the Launchpad will provide you with an option to enable background download services. This download will happen transparently and in the background during periods of inactivity and low activity.
