Vanguard: Thestra done for now...Qalia next...

Brad McQuaid, President and CEO of Sigil Games Online, and co-producer of Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, clarified the breathless chant that was building up in the official Vanguard forum yesterday. Started by Eomis and quickly picked up by several others, including yours truly, the cry was for more details on the Thestra map...we thought it was long overdue.

In a surprise (to me, anyhow) appearance on the forum, Aradune Mithara (aka Brad McQuaid) had this to say:

"The map is pretty much done for Thestra. It is our intent to give the general lay of the land and then mark the player characters starting villages.

"A lot of Thestra will be left a mystery until players are in the game.

"The next map will be of Qalia and will roll out the same way."

Fans and forum goers are now waiting with bated breath for the promised land to appear!

And in another official-Vanguard-forum-inspired declaration, in answer to why the Vanguard team had been suspiciously quiet for the last little while, Aradune (Brad) had this to say:

"Busy getting ready for Fanguard while simultaniously marching onward towards beta. Lots of refinement is being done, advanced game mechanics implementation, testing, new engine features, etc."

While some opined that this sounded kinky, others spotted news alert senses tingling up and down the fan site line. Hopefully, we'll all be bringing back a lot of answers from the Summit.
