Pocket Kingdom: Welcome to Pocket Kingdom Warcry!

Welcome to the newest addition to the Warcry Network!

After getting a chance to play with Pocket Kingdom, I had to open a site for this unique and addictive mobile MMOG.

What is Pocket Kingdom you asK? Well, it's an MMOG in development for Nokia's N-Gage. I know what you're thinking already, but you'd be surprised at how much it has improved since its original release. The N-Gage QD is a sleek sexy gaming beast of a handheld, and Pocket Kingdom is the army it's leading. Oh, and there's other good games too, but we won't get into that.

Why a site on Warcry though? We're all about those hot MMORPG's and cutting edge PC gaming news® - not cellphone/console games, right? Wrong! We're all about gaming and community, and this is one we couldn't pass up. Especially after getting access to a pre-release version to play with - expect a complete hands-on preview once we get all the kinks worked out on the site. If you take some time to learn a bit more about the game, you'll understand why - we're online gamers, and this game is aimed directly at us. My initial unit grouping included Ownagorn, Leetgolas, and Doodette. Ownagorn was a ninja of some sort. The currency of the land is "loot". It's hilarious, but takes itself completely seriously.

It's also an incredibly deep strategy game. Deceptively deep, even. Each unit, out of more than 100, has a unique set of attacks and special abilities. You can equip all of them with items you create, with thousands of combinations. Now you need to factor in tactics, terrain, elements, and any special surprises that your opponent has waiting for you. When you add it all up, if your minions are stronger, better equipped, and fighting smarter than your opponents, then you win. If you're not doing all those three, it depends on how badly you're outclassed.

And by opponents, I'm not talking about NPCs (though there's a few of them as well). Take the game online through the N-Gage Arena and you'll start encountering other players in the areas you're exploring. Chat, email, or attack them at your leisure, just make sure you've set up your own defenses first. If you can break through their defenses, you'll be able to snag some of their loot for your own, and maybe increase your own ranking. It's all a big competition to see who can come out the w1nn3r - snag the top slot and you'll get a permanent trophy for your accomplishment.

Take some time and check out the other areas of the site - we've got a bunch of screenshots and some pretty in-depth game data to get started (thanks to a bit of assistance). We'll keep ramping up the site until release, which is currently guesstimated at somewhere around the end of this year, so keep checking back. I hope you'll stick around, and maybe we'll get a chance to 0wnzor you when the game releases at the end of the year.
