Question phaeton - (summarized) After purchasing the apartment, I proceeded to try to open my storage, but it said I wasnt authorized. Sometimes it works, what is the problem?
Answer srand - Actually, your storage chest is just fine. The problem is that your storage chest is not the only one in your apartment.

At some point in the past, the chest in your apartment was duplicated. The new copy, however, was not in the house's list of objects, and so when the house changed hands the duplicated chests never found out about the new owner. So what you have in your apartment right now is one chest -- the 'good' chest -- that knows you are the owner and will open when you use it, and one chest -- the 'bad' chest -- that thinks someone else is the owner and so won't open for you.

You can use the < and > keys to cycle through the objects in your apartment, and by using the R key when you have your chest selected you should be able to open it. (I'm assuming here that you haven't remapped your keys, of course.) Right this instant, the only way to get rid of the 'bad' chest is to locate the previous owner and have him come clean it out, and then let your apartment reload (which means leaving the landblock absolutely empty of players for about 10 minutes). I hope to have some automatic method to clean up of these bad old chests available by February, but unfortunately it is a very sticky problem -- which is why it's not fixed yet -- and it may take longer than that to get something in place.
I've also just noticed that my square brackets came out as pointy brackets. *sigh* In the messages above, please read "< and > keys" as "left square bracket key and right square bracket key".

Err .. actually .. while I was investigating your problem I sorta cleaned up your bad chest.
But I thought it was important to post your message so that anyone else with a similar problem would also see the information.

Question Flavious- Ihave always wanted a crest or a pic on my shield or to at least dye it a diffrent color. is this a possability in the future?
Answer srand - We've always wanted these abilities as well. *grin* The tech isn't there right now to support dyeing or stamping of shields, but we have considered it, and we will be investigating this as a possibility in the future.
