Those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of larger towns may enjoy the calm forest atmosphere of this rural community. Visitors to Glenden Wood will find the residents to be (mostly) friendly, and the quiet a welcome break from everyday life in Dereth.

If you're thirsty for a good stout or ale, stop by and see Ystig Marson at "The Overlook." You can enjoy your drink on the tavern's balcony, which offers a great view of town. If you have an appetite for anything other than pickled eggs or fish, however, you will probably find yourself traveling to nearby Cragstone.
