With almost every retailer claiming a different shipping date and Blizzard still holding back from formally releasing an official date, who can we trust? Adding to the confusion yesterday was an article written by Heather Newman of the Detroit Free Press which claimed a release date of Nov. 22nd.
One of the most anticipated PC games of the year now has a launch date.
"World of Warcraft," the online world game from the makers of the incredibly popular "Warcraft" strategy game series, is scheduled to launch the week of Nov. 22, the Free Press has learned.
Adding to the confusion, Gamestop.com no longer is listing a shipping date at all for WoW, while EBGames.com is still claiming a Nov. 15th ship date. Interestingly enough they have also just recently added a disclaimer line to their WoW product page (found in the link above).
Note: Ship date listed above is not an official Blizzard ship date.
In light of this new information, all we can do is speculate which date is the actual ship date. Hopefully Blizzard will soon announce an official ship date. Until then all of us rampant fans will have to be content with biting our nails and speculating.
