World Of Warcraft: For End of Beta...

The time has come, it's drawing near,
WoW Beta is soon to end;
It's been a journey I'll never forget,
And one that has set a trend.

With questing galore, and solo fun,
there was never a moment's rest;
The world is huge, the scenery diverse,
To this, I can attest.

So let's take a moment, to reminisce,
about all the fun we had;
Sit back and relax, think back to all,
the fun, that you and I had.

Alpha began it, for those of you,
Who were fortunate to be a part;
Learning the mobs, the zones, the spells,
The joy of /v rasp, and /fart.

Remember when climing was just as much fun,
As instancing for the first time;
To run through the world, from a bird's eye view,
It was definitely something sublime.

And then came the pushes, oh, the dreadful patch,
Bittorrent was the bane of my life;
The hours and hours, to wait for the game,
It caused me much pain and strife.

As the weeks passed, the pain did lessen,
For with each patch a new thrill emerged;
The log in screens changed, the options were new,
And once again, I was submerged.

The groans, the nerfs, the suggestions and bugs,
These boards that have duplicate posts;
Of character wipes, and talents to come,
And horrible graphics as ghosts.

>From spells not casting, to "...too far away",
Invalid target, and "You are dead";
You can't do that now, you can't do that here;
All those messages fill my head.

Quests that don't work, and text that seems strange,
Potions that make your comp crash;
Weapons that proc at 110%;
And bobbers that never will splash.

GoBs that have zero mercy,
NPCs that never would speak;
The overpowering, unrelentless mobs,
That made us all feel so weak.

The questions, the answers, the endless unknowns,
It seems like just yesterday;
That we, the few, were a part of this test,
I give to Blizzard, this bouquet...

Of flowers and roses, held in off-hand only,
When right clicked it emits a scent;
Of green, green bills...hundreds of them;
It's exactly what I would have spent...

Had I paid to play, these last 12 months,
It's really an awesome game;
And with all the sleep, my body has lacked,
I'll never be the same.

But in the end, it's a polished piece,
One I've been damn lucky to test;
It's been so much fun, and I'm sad it will go,
so now maybe I'll get some rest.

And last but not least, there's one bright side,
The end is not just a hindrance,
We all get to reap the great benefits,
Of lots of rested experience.

Thank you everyone for an awesome time! It's been great fun. :)
