You go to any faction recruiter, and go on furlough, basically. It takes hours to take effect. You cannot use certain perks when you're covert: uniforms, display of rank, checkout of soldiers, etc.

No plans for that. To repeat something I posted tonight on the beta board: a Jedi isn't really a "character" in the sense that your main is. He has more in common with Crash Bandicoot than he does with a roleplayed personality. He starts out weak like any newbie, but permadeath enabled. You're gonna start him over dozens and dozens of times. And he's going to spend his life in hiding. This is simply put the toughest thing to do in the game. I don't want to even hear the panicked cries of someone who copied over their three-year-old well-developed persona into the Jedi slot and then lost them instantly to a gnort.

I assume you mean narrative POIs. After all, many many POIs are simply camps, villages, etc, and there's really only one ending for them: they get blown up, or they stick around.

All professions are the same size, so to speak. But some have entire other professions as pre-reqs and others have only a few skills as pre-reqs, and some are starter professions and don't have any pre-reqs at all.
Sword fighting has a few skills as a pre-req. Musician has a few skills as a pre-req. Bounty hunter has two whole professions as a pre-req.

You don't have to master ANY profession. New abilities get unlocked at the BOTTOM of the profession. Going up confers more abilities and so on, but you can place a farm as a novice farmer.

Go off to battle. Your farm pretty much works by itself. You just need to make sure that you've got the maintenance needs handled, and that you empty the hopper periodically, and make sure that the land hasn't been farmed out.

Depends on whether the elite profession calls for one prior profession as a pre-req, or two. We refer to the latter as "hybrids." If you master a hybrid, you only have 11 skill points left over. That's enough to only get a few skills. The hybrids tend to come off the combat professions though, so you're likely to have a pretty good handle on weaponry already.

Yes, it did chew up real estate. But we're able to flatten unbuildable ground, so we could put down our cities anywhere we wanted. I don't think the impact on usable terrain was that huge.

We honestly don't know because it depends on how beta 2, beta 3, and launch go. We don't plan to hold any of those features back because of size. The only one that risks that is vehicles, because that's a lot of art, but we're planning to make sure that art is on the gold master CD.

There is no maximum. In the PvP system as it stands now, Overt is designed to be a state that you enter periodically to accomplish certain goals (like say, placing turrets around a mining area that you don't want Rebels to have access to).
