City Of Heroes: Supergroup Woes

As reported by Zero_Access in the Technical Issues and Bugs forum, the supergroup known as the Exodus suffered yesterday.

Said Zero_Access:

Hi,

Yes, its a strange problem.
All of my supergroup members and me (Supergroup The Exodus on Victory) have the same problem.
If we press ingame on the supergroup button the game crashes and we cant log in with this chars.

Our other chars (no supergroup) have no problems, only the chars of the supergroup.

Plz mates and especially devs, what should we do?

If there is no solution a whole supergroup must cancel their accounts cause they cannot play.

While the last sentence was pure hyperbole, the issue was real. Luckily community member Colder was on the scene to give out the support email (support@coh.com).

NCSoft Tech Support guru Case jumped in later to confirm that they were working on the problem. After several more hyperbolic missives, Vyvyanne asked the troubled Zero_Access to check his messages and... voila!

Said Zero_Access:

The problem is solved.
One char has the name GOTO.
He was the problem, maybe because GOTO is a coding-command.

We kicked him (one char, who don't press on thesg-button ) and now all is wonderful. We can play normally.

Aah... raised and solved. In case you don't hear it enough Vyvyanne and Case, GOOD WORK! And let that be a lesson to all you player/programmers out there... no superheroes named after coding commands!
