Star Wars:Yoda:Dark Rendezvous, a new Clone Wars novel by author Sean Stewart is now available in bookstores. It's a first for a Star Wars novel since the story features Yoda as a principal character. Author Sean Stewart answered six questions about the characters and themes in his novel. Here's a little bit:
Because I grew up with the original trilogy, my Yoda is above all the one from The Empire Strikes Back -- cranky and funny, with a wisdom that catches you off-guard. I think he is more at home in his hermitage than he is as a great political figure. What he does on Coruscant during the Clone Wars, the role he plays as a galactic figure--it's important work, something he won't shirk from, but not the life that comes most naturally to him. At least, that's my sense.
