[p]The Map is updated again!
Gawa Ibn Edwas of Solclaim was kind enough to bring "The Map" back up to date!
Needless to say, we were quite eager to host this file at Warcry's Crossroads of Dereth as we felt it might be useful for our readers.

'THE MAP' - 4.2 MB PNG image (last update: 12 December 2004 by Gawa Ibn Edwas of Solclaim).

Here's the latest release of 'The Map'. All the locations in the WCoD database should be marked on it. The map is intended for printing at 36"x36" (9 sq ft).

[li]Entire map is generated with Gawa Ibn Edwas of Solclaim's own toolset, written in Java. Also available at Gawa's site are copies of this map split into 9 or 16 different sections for easier printing.

[li]One of the data files of the game (cell.dat) functions as the source for the data to generate the landscape.

[li]The code used to extract the map from the cell.dat, David Simpson's Dereth cartography.

[li]The map is now up to date with the December event.
[li]Added as much of the Halaetan Islands as possible.
[li]Switched fonts for town names and region labels.
[li]Minor corrections to existing items.
[li]Had to move the legend, compass, etc because they interfered with the Halaetan Islands.
