City Of Heroes: Developers Corner Comes to the Forums

| 17 Dec 2004 11:03

CuppaJo opened the Developers Corner with this:

Welcome to the Developers Corner. This section was created for the Developers to post information about upcoming game features, discuss changes, dispel rumors, and solicit feedback from players. This section also hosts the Dev Digest, a listing of developer/mod comments on the boards.

This section will also host "Official Threads" created by the Devs or Mods. Please check this section regularly and BEFORE starting a new thread in the forums to see if there is an "Official Thread" about your issue.

In this section, only Moderators or Developers will be able to create new threads. Players will be able to respond to the threads - and are encouraged to do so. However, this forum will be heavily moderated. Insults directed at the devs, mods, or other players will be removed without notice, as will flame wars and any trolling behavior. Please keep your feedback constructive and concise and be able to back up your claims with data. Don't be afraid to go and check something out by testing it before forming an opinion.

The City of Heroes team wants your feedback to help us make the game the best it can be and hope this section becomes an easy place to go to for information direct from the source.

Statesman echoed CuppaJo with these words:

As lead designer, I like to post frequently on the boards and let the forum readers know what's going on. With the success of the game, we've got a lot of fans - and that's great...but I've noticed that threads quickly multiply that dev responses get buried.

Now, when I've got something to explain, I can put it here. All the comments and responses are contained to a single thread. Devs can post responses in one place - posters know where to go.

Now this isn't to say that I'll stop posting in the other forums - but I'll try to keep the "hot" issues answered in this forum.

This is a great way to get your official information and not be subjected to flames, insults, rants, trolls, and other miscreants of the forum-kind.
