City Of Heroes: CoH Going Tabletop?

Is City of Heroes going tabletop?

CoH UK seems to say so. The official United Kingdom site has posted a news story via the UK Community Coodrinator, Bridger. The story reads:

Eden Studios, publisher of the forthcoming City of Heroes pencil and paper roleplaying game, gets profiled by Times Union.

US newspaper Times Union has an article about roleplaying game company Eden Studios, its success with zombie title All Flesh Must Be Eaten and its next major project, the City of Heroes Roleplaying Game.

The CoH RPG isn't the only link between Eden Studios and our favourite MMOG, though. The Cryptozoology supplement for Eden's Conspiracy X game was the first RPG book written by Rick Dakan (who now runs Blue King Studios, producers of the City of Heroes comic) and Jack 'Statesman' Emmert, and became the inspiration for the name of Cryptic Studios.

Similarly, Eden boss George Vasilakos has been immortalised in the game.

The Times Union of Albany, NY had this to contribute to the speculation:

Their (Eden Studios) next project is a role-playing version of "City of Heroes," an online computer game where hundreds of players can meet in a virtual computer world and create their own superheroes. Vasilakos formerly employed one of the creators of "City of Heroes" as a freelance writer, who gave a wink and a nod to his former boss in the computer game.

There's a villain in "City of Heroes" named Dr. Vasilok. He's a mad-scientist-type, and he makes zombies.

Seeing as how the announcement was made on the official UK web site, it seems this "rumor" is actually a truth. We'll have to wait and see what comes of it.
