Everquest 2: EQII Servers Opens Its Doors!

| 31 Dec 2004 16:07

EQII Servers has opened up and is ready for traffic! Join me in welcoming this great website within the community. Go take a look at EQII Servers!

Greetings and Salutations!

I am Berek Halfhand and I would like to personally welcome you to EQII Servers at http://www.eq2servers.com, a fan network dedicated to providing personal space for each server's community. Allow me to quickly go through what we provide for each server's website:

News area with the ability for representatives of guilds to post
their own news! Public forums as well as private guild forums.
Event calendar with the ability for all members on a server to post
their events. Chat room for each server. Gallery with an album for each server. Poll and comment abilities for the poll, news, and gallery. Official EQII news feed. Group support so you can view guild membership, forum membership, and more!

The structure of the network is similar to those you find at OGaming,
Stratics, Vault, and others, with some key differences outlined
below:

No ads of any kind! Rules are restricted only to the essentials. We moderate to a minimum. No clutter! Guides, artwork, and other information can be found either in the forums or other sites. EQII Servers is about the servers and will provide links to important information, but will not clutter up the front page with it. Freedom to post! With limited restrictions, and common sense on your part, we provide two representatives from each guild to post news on their server's page. Please read the EQII Servers FAQ for more information about this service. Separate login information for each server. Why do we do this? Several reasons that are outlined in our Network FAQ.

EQII Servers is clearly designed for the various guilds and communities that will be forming in the game. We are here to provide a platform for common server discussions. When you visit your server's website at EQII Servers, you will know that everyone on that site is either interested in your server or actually an active player. With the group feature and others, it is easy to find out who is a part of which guild and where a member of the community might be found in the game.

Contest:

In spirit of the grand opening we are running a contest for two weeks
beginning today. General rules are that you must register and post
in the forums on central and your primary server site. Three winners at the end of the two weeks will receive a one month game time card, a forum title of their choice, and 'founders' group membership status.

The top 5 guilds who sign up on central and their primary server site
that have the most members signed up and posting in the forums (must have two representatives selected!), will receive board titles of their choice and 'founder' membership status.

I encourage you to visit EQII Servers at Http://www.eq2servers.com
and see what exactly it is that we offer. Be sure to check out the lower left block which allows you to navigate between each server's site. The Network FAQ has been filled out to hopefully answer all the rest of your questions that you might have, including why we have a separate login system. If you have another question or concern, please send it to admin@eq2servers.com.

Thank you,

Berek Halfhand (EQII Servers)
