Lineage 2: Keylogger Problems..

As of late, there have been a lot of people attempting to spread Keyloggers through the forums. They promise that it's another program, or file, but is really a Keylogger in disguise. What's a Keylogger? It's a malicious program that's used to keep tabs on every key you press, then the report could be sent to the person who coded it. This means, all your passwords, including your Lineage II account could be in their hands.

What I am asking all of you to do is.. if you see anyone spreading or attempting to spread keyloggers through the forums, DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT. Feel free to post in the thread warning people that it is likely a keylogger, but don't touch it yourself. Moderators are doing their best to keep up on top of all these threads, but it's hard to do, since people disguise them well. Just play safe, and use a virus scanner. My personal favorite scanner is McAfee Virus Scanner, although others will suffice as well. Remember to run Spyware Removal programs like Ad-Aware at least once a week, to make sure you have none on your computer.

And to keep your computer in general more secure, I highly recommend the use of FireFox or Opera. If browsers were Religion, Internet Explorer would be the Devil. Make sure you check for new Windows Updates regularly as well. All these steps will help you be safer, and keep you away from things like Keyloggers. NEVER download ANYTHING from anyone you don't trust.
