Final Fantasy: Square Enix Hints at Future of Final Fantasy XI

I found this article over at RPGamer which talks about a possible new playable region or zone in the future of FFXI. They had this to say:

According to Square Enix representatives, however, Al'Taeiu could soon become more than just a legendary city. There is a possibility that this enigmatic region will become a new playable area for the inhabitants of Vana'diel to explore.
