Asherons Call: eb-AC Trading Site to Open

| 2 Mar 2003 04:30

Imagine: The player runs ImpInventory as they would normally, but they only have to create the XML file (no need to run it through a converter). They go to eb-AC''s Parsing system, click the [filesystem] Browse button, grab the XML file, and submit the form to send it to the server. eb-AC takes that file, converts it on the fly, and takes all of the data from that file to build item titles and full descriptions, with weapon damage/mods, armor levels and protections, lists of spells on the item, the works. It then presents that information in a form to the player -- they can then enable or disable individual items, split stacked items so they break up into multiple auctions, edit the system-generated descriptions and titles, choose categories (though the Parser will, 9 items out of 10, choose one for that item), adjust starting bids, reserve prices, buyouts, sniper rules, then, when they''re done, they hit one button and whoosh, all of the items get sent directly to the server and are immediately available for people to bid on!

I''ve successfully tested the system on files with more than 200 items listed, and it only took me about 15 minutes total, for all 200 items, to change the default prices and whatnot, tailoring each listing to the item.

We all know that long lists of items don''t sell well -- but there wasn''t really an alternative... now this ImpParser will make individual listings for every item! :-)

It''s also has:

-- Proxy bidding
-- Sniper rules, reserve prices, buyout options (temp/perm)
-- AuctionBots to seek items when you''re not around
-- Auctions or sales, for IG valuables or cash (single- and quantity-listings)
-- Message boards
-- Private messaging system
-- Live chatrooms (1 for each AC1/AC2 server)
-- Account Panel with item tracking & watched items list
-- Feedback-based rating system
-- Server photo albums

I would really appreciate it if you could let your loyal readers know about eb-AC. It''s free to use, and will remain that way; I made this site to give people a better way to trade and sell items; only time will tell if I succeeded. :-)
