Q-3P0 dropped by the boards to inform us that another Dev has posted his life story. This week's victim ... err ...celebrity ... was Michael Farone, the man in charge of building the worlds in SWG. He talks about everything from building worlds, to living in caves or a hayloft, and even trying to slice his friends in half with a flashlight! Here is a rather interesting snippet:
But then I step in, make a general mess of things, thumb my nose at everyone, and run screaming into the night wearing a thong bikini and fake ears. Well, okay... that's not completely accurate. I help take the props our artists build and bring them into the game. I find a location for a city and help turn empty terrain into a bustling Star Wars metropolis. Soon I will be helping to create scenarios for places of interest around the galaxy. Oh, and I help come up with excuses that can be given to our tech guys ("I didn't break it... it was already broken" works just as well for monitors and hard drives as it does for server code).
