Or something. Yeah.
Q: All my characters look like they are frowning (heck, almost to the point of glaring) or at best horribly distorted when I am in the game, despite that not being how they look on the character creation screen.
A: Your hat was on too tight and your character has a headache. No, really, I'm not making that up. There was a bug with the way hats interacted with the mood sliders, and we patched in a fix this morning.
Two thumbs up to all the players who noticed the relationship and included their thesis in their bug appeals! It always helps when we're looking in the right direction from the beginning.
Q: With the new clustering, is there going to be a way to search CM's by using the Market explorer for other servers?
A: I'm afraid not. It's not possible with our current resources, so while I try never to say never, I can definitely say it won't be happening in the near future.
Q: Is there any way to remove quests from my journal that I don't want to finish?
A: I asked the In Game Overlord, and he gave me the rundown. Our CSRs will help you out in specific situations: "If the quest is ten levels below your current level, and NOT an epic or artifact quest, yes, they should appeal and we can take care of it."
Q: Any more clustering coming?
A: We are currently discussing some possibilities, but nothing has been decided yet. If we do decide to make more clusters, we will do them on Tuesday (2/15) morning. I appreciate all the feedback and information that I've gotten from everyone, especially the roleplayers with their unique concerns.
Q: I was looking at an old grab bag, and the information there contradicted the Realm Ability documentation page. Which is correct?
A: I promise you that the documentation page is vastly superior to a two year old grab bag. MMORPGs evolve so rapidly that the older grab bags are almost adorably quaint. When you're using a grab bag for reference, please be sure to give me the date of the column you're talking about.
Q: (Insert question about the 8-hour cluster timer.)
A: Our lead programmer assures me that simply going to the character selection screen is not enough to set off the timer. You actually need to log in to the game and quit or go link dead in order to activate the timer.
Unsurprisingly, I have had a lot of feedback on the timer and its length. The discussion here at Mythic is still ongoing and by no means final.

It was a very clustery feedback form week for me.
Help, help, the Herald team is buried in haiku! I don't know how on earth we're going to decide which ones will get the laurels. I can honestly say I haven't seen a bad one yet. Though it's early in the judging process, we're noticing two trends - both trolls and assassins love to write haiku. Who knew? If you have not yet entered our contest, get your syllable-counting hats on. Please, though - be sure to tell us what realm you're writing about. It's not always immediately apparent, and we need to know for the final round of judging.
Have a peachy keen weekend.
