Anarchy Online: Patch 15.8.5 Released!

Massive Advertising Updates

The patch to the live servers today includes all game code and system for the integration of the new Massive advertising systems. This includes the placement of new billboards around Rubi-Ka, some new ones and some replacing the old ones.

Please note that the system itself is not going live today, this patch only puts the infrastructure in place, and no real advertising will be streamed into the game as yet. What subscribers will see is a new toggle in the Options menu that allows them to switch the advertising on if they should want to do so.

The new hoardings will show billboards created by our own art team and feature images created by our Art Director Stian Dahlslett. Over the course of the next week you may see different versions of these ads rotate as we ensure that the new server technology that is handling the advertising is not going to interfere with gameplay.
