City Of Heroes: Real-World Ads in Paragon City?

Statesman, Cryptic Studios Lead Designer, stopped by the Official City of Heroes to comment on the new advertising seen throughout Paragon City. Here's what he had to say:

The Top Cow thing wasn't meant to stir speculation on whether we're doing "paid advertising" in game. I brought the idea in the first place - because I think it'd be cool! I'd love to bring their creativity into play with some ads. So, no, it's not real world ads (unless you count their being an in game monthly City of Heroes comic being advertised - the "true life" stories of our city's champions!). Maybe do the same with Alderac and Eden - not because they're paying us (because they aren't) but because it's fun!
