Well - haven't we all got our knickers in a knot?

The reason I don't give you more information most of the time is - well, I probably don't have the foggiest idea why something is down when it comes right down to it. The network people or the coders are the ones who do and they are too busy fixing things to post.

However, in this case, at this time, I know this much -

The patch fixed the arena stability for the most part. However, there is, as you can plainly tell, an issue with the mapservers. When the arenas were up it made the mapservers worse AND caused issues with the database.

So - it was either roll back the patch - thus no arenas and your characters would roll back OR leave the patch and bring the arenas down so that you could continue testing. Since we added other things to the patch that we really need you to test (ahem - XP range) AND because we didn't want to roll back characters - we decided to leave the patch up and bring the arenas down.

There ya go - as best as I know it.

Now - can we please go about the business of the test server and go test some things? If you only want to test the arenas then keep watching here to find out when they are up and enjoy yourself on live in the meantime. We will get them up as soon as we can. No one wants you to test them more than we do. Trust me.

Finally - can we PLEASE act civil and stop calling each other names and slinging insults? Thank you!
